Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
ReviewMama ("we," "us," "the platform") helps people check reviews, complaints, and a calculated trust score for local businesses before buying from them. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it's handled.
1. Information we collect
To create an account: your phone number, and a one-time verification code sent to it. We don't require a password.
Optional profile information: a display name, a short bio, an email address, and a profile photo, if you choose to add them.
Content you submit: reviews, complaints, business listings, business claim evidence, and any photos you upload with them.
Automatically collected: basic technical information (such as an IP address) used to detect fraudulent or duplicate reviews and complaints.
2. How we use your information
- To verify you're a real person and prevent fake accounts
- To let you submit reviews, complaints, and business listings
- To detect and reduce fraudulent, duplicate, or abusive submissions
- To calculate trust scores from genuine review and complaint activity
- To let business owners respond to reviews and complaints about their business
- To operate, maintain, and improve the platform
3. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information.
We share limited information with service providers who help us run the platform, including:
- An SMS provider, to deliver your one-time verification code
- A database host, to store your account and content
- An image storage provider, to host photos you upload
These providers only receive what they need to perform their specific function, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Published content is public. Reviews, complaints, business listings, and any replies to them are publicly visible on the platform by design — that's the service. Your phone number itself is never shown publicly; only your display name (or a masked version of your phone number if you haven't set one) appears alongside your submissions.
4. How long we keep information
We keep your account and submitted content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal profile information; published reviews and complaints may be retained in de-identified or archived form to preserve the integrity of trust scores already calculated from them.
5. Your choices
You can update your profile information, or request deletion of your account, by contacting us at reviewmama.net@gmail.com. You cannot delete an individual published review or complaint yourself once it has been approved, for the same reason a business cannot delete one about itself — but you can contact us if you believe something was published in error.
6. Children's privacy
ReviewMama is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under 18.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the date at the top when we do.
